CAVUS: New Song Available For Streaming
July 14, 2010"Death Rattle", a new song from Finnish black metallers CAVUS, is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The track comes off the group's full-length debut, "Fester And Putrefy", which will be released later this year via Listenable Records. The CD was recorded in Porvoo, Finland in an old wooden house which has also functioned as the band's rehearsal place. It is a privately owned house that has been a part of an old production complex but became abandoned some 20 years ago because of high toxicity in the ground and surroundings due to an industrial accident. Most of the toxicity is caused by cyanide, so nothing — not even rats — can live there.
"Fester And Putrefy" track listing:
01. A Sea Of Tongues
02. Fist Of A Titan
03. Discovering Through Suffering
04. Horns Of Gold
05. Death Rattle
06. The Eyeless Gaze
07. Scorched Flesh, Ravaged Souls
08. Sacred Profane
09. Posessed By The Devils Blood
10. Worship And Rot
Formed in 2008 in Porvoo, CAVUS "set out to pillage and desecrate everything in its path with a sinister blend of crushingly heavy, old-school black metal with baritone guitars and juggernautic basses along with raw-to-the-bone vocals that earned the group great recognition," according to a press release. "No keyboards, no fairies, no bullshit. This is straight-up rawness and CAVUS will spread like a virulent plague among legions worldwide."
